What is Trisodium Pyrophosphate?

Trisodium pyrophosphate is a white powdery crystal, easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is close to neutral, and insoluble in ethanol. It often exists in the form of a monohydrate (Na3HP2O7·H2O) Chemicalbook, and the crystal water is not easy to remove. It can be slowly decomposed into disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate and sodium pyrophosphate when heated to above 170°C; it can be decomposed into metaphosphate above 240°C.
