What is L-Valine Powder?

Along with leucine and isoleucine, l-valine powder is one of the three branched chain amino acids (BCAAs).

As the possession of a “branched chain” itself confers some bioactivity, which is shared to a degree by all of the BCAAs, there is currently no benefit of l valine powder that cannot be replicated by either leucine or isoleucine supplementation in isolation.

As a result, there is currently no extremely significant benefit of valine supplementation.This may simply be due to a lack of evidence, as the bioactivities of l-valine powder haven’t been purposefully studied much and valine is frequently used in studies that merely want to test the effects of a branched chain amino acid.

L-Valine Powder Uses

1. From three to six weeks of age, Ross 508 broilers were subjected to four experiments to assess their l-valine powder (Val) requirements.Broilers were fed common diets until they were three weeks old.

2.Development and corpse estimations were taken in all analyses.In Experiments 1 and 2, immune responsiveness was measured.

3.In Experiment 1, birds fed 72 g of valine per kilogram of body weight had more abdominal fat than birds fed 82 g of l-valine powder per kilogram of body weight, but there were no differences in growth or other carcass measurements.In Experiments 2 and 3, the concentration of valine was decreased to 64 g valine/kg of diet because growth performance was not affected in birds fed 72 g l valine powder/kg of diet.

4.BW gain, feed efficiency, and Val intake all increased linearly in male and female birds when Val was increased from 64 to 87 g valine/kg of diet.In no experiment were quadratic responses to increasing dietary valine observed.There were no impacts of valine powder on inborn or versatile invulnerability.

5.The addition of a non-essential mixture of amino acids with the same amount of nitrogen as the L-valine additions in Experiment 4 lends credence to the hypothesis that the responses to l valine powder were specific and not caused by increases in total nitrogen.

6.Male, but not female, birds given 73 g of valine powder per kilogram of diet had better BW gain and feed efficiency than those given 64 g of Val per kilogram of diet.
