The optimal condition is that the ligand molar ratio is 2:1, and 3.25 mL of 30% NaOH is added to every 50 mL of 6% methionine solution, and the chelation rate of the product is 90.32%. From the product composition and infrared spectroscopy analysis, it can be known that its chemical composition is Cu(Met)2. The fat oxidation test shows that the synthetic copper methionine has a good fat antioxidant effect and can be used in infant formula milk powder with higher fat content.
